Black Celebration

So, I think it’s time to address my complete infatuation for the 80s. I love the movies, the music, the culture, and all of the times that I never got to experience personally. Growing up with my parents heavily influenced my taste in fashion and the tunes, so I decided I would incorporate that love into my outfit today. Freezing out (65°F don’t judge me), Jon and I made a solid attempt at shooting. After a while, I started to get use to the feeling of being cold and really got into the rhythm of it which thankfully, time ended up flying by a lot faster after that point. I try really hard to find locations that make the outfit what it is. Even though buildings and NYC style urban locations are great at first, I find they lack the spark my outfit needs to really shine and stand out from the crowd. So I always put a lot of thought before skipping off to my next shoot which can sometimes be a challenge but worth it to me in the end.

The outfit I’m wearing was incredibly comfortable for this kind of weather. Not too hot, not deathly cold, the OASAP sweater kept me feeling great without freezing my butt off entirely. No, I wouldn’t advise wearing it in anything below 50° but it definitely does the job for warmth and style. I paired it together with my vegan leather/denim pants from H&M which for some reason, I haven’t yet worn for a shoot. To further enhance my 80s style, I decided to wear OASAP’s ridiculously cool and detailed sunglasses. Perfectly edgy while capturing that classic style, I knew it would make my look.
